The 70th Farnborough International Airshow took place between 16 – 22 July.
The biennial event showcased static and flying displays and consisted of over 70,000sqm of exhibition space with more than 1,500 exhibitors!
The event spread over 7 days and combined a trade exhibition on weekdays followed by the public air show on the weekend. A fantastic experience in the UK’s oldest active airfield, and home to the first powered flight in Britain in 1908.
We’re proud to have worked with 10 clients this year, successfully delivering 5 stands, 4 chalets and 2 static displays for; FLIR, Spirit Aerosystems, Qatar Airways, Derco, AIA, Proponent, Crane Aerospace and Electronics, Ultra Electronics, Textron and Moog.
Josie Breen, Group Marketing and Communications Manager at Ultra Electronics, explains: “I would have to give Cook & Associates a 10 out of 10. They are all fantastic, they are always asking if there is anything else we need. When I arrive in the morning they have already done everything for us.”
The Cook & Associates team recorded 156,000 steps on the first day of the show. With temperatures soaring to an average of 34°C, building the stands and chalets was no simple task. It took our team of 102, 56 days to build over the period of the World Cup!
We’re looking forward to Paris air show next year, let’s hope it’s a little cooler!
