Putting the temperatures to one side, what a summer season we’ve had!  It has contained something of everything including a return to two of the world’s biggest international airshows in July – the Farnborough International Airshow and EAA AirVenture at Oshkosh. On the flip side, new industries featured strongly with Embedded World in Nuremberg and the risk management + insurance sector with the Airmic annual event in London. Here’s a look at some of the show highlights from our action-packed summer season…..

A very special airlift – Textron at the Special Olympics USA Games 2022.

Every 4 years, the Special Olympics brings together a wide cross-section of athletes to take part in 32 Olympic-style sports in Orlando, USA.  This amazing inclusive event is underpinned by the concept of “Shine as One”, giving everyone the chance to compete on a completely equal footing.  The Textron Aviation Airlift involved co-ordinating 120 Cessna, Beechcraft and Hawker customer aircraft to transport over 800 athletes and support teams.  Read the full article here.

Expanding Focus – Targeting Financial Services and Insurance

Building on our historical strengths across a diverse cross-section of industries – from aviation, aerospace, and defence to electronics and luxury goods – we are now expanding our activities significantly with the financial sector featuring prominently.  Under Sales Director Tom Hawes, we are making steady inroads.  This summer we supported new client RSA at Airmic 2022, a specialist risk and insurance event, after a highly successful first event with them at BIBA 2022.

“A Fantastic event and the stand was in my opinion the best ever, thanks Cook + Associates, it’s a pleasure working with you” –  Scott Flynn, Marketing Manager.

And Electronics….

Embedded World is a summer highlight for the electronics sector, and the innovative design we have been working on with Future Electronics was finally unveiled as the show came back to life after its 2-year pause.  The 250 sq metre stand catered for a mix of demonstration booths, hospitality and engagement in a spacious inviting environment, making a high impact statement on the show floor.

Putting the “Full” into service at AIX

The Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) in Hamburg is always a big show for us and this year was no exception.  On the menu were eye-catching stands for Schneller and new client ANUVU, which was repositioning itself in the in-flight entertainment market as part of a major rebrand. Our design team created a stand-out futuristic design focused on movement and connectivity, creating a carefully crafted customer journey through ANUVU’s stand. Take a watch:

The Big one!  Back to Farnborough after 4 years.

It was worth the wait for the 52nd Farnborough International Airshow (FIA), with the event returning with a big bang!  With 10 clients to support and record-breaking summer temperatures to contend with, the C+A team worked flat out to create an unforgettable and successful event on every level.  4 bespoke chalets provided Qatar Airways, Spirit AeroSystems, AIA and Dassault Systémes with uniquely welcoming environments to welcome customers back. On the show floor, we pushed out the boat and created some exciting spaces, including a new biophilic design focused on sustainable innovation for Dassault Systémes. Ending the summer season with Textron at EAA AirVenture

Oshkosh is a summer highlight, bringing our hectic summer to a close as the huge show – known as “the world’s greatest aviation celebration” was staged over a full week in July, attracting some 500,000 visitors.  Textron’s presence is traditionally big and bold featuring their iconic logo, hospitality and merchandising tent, 4 iconic planes and a new interactive golf simulator, bringing together aviation geeks from across the globe for a celebration of the latest and greatest in new aviation.
