Augmented Reality at DSEI

Here’s to another successful year at DSEI (Defence and Security Equipment International). DSEI is the world’s leading event that connects governments, national armed forces and industry thought leaders and this year marks their 20th Anniversary! With a range of valuable opportunities for networking, the DSEI community can innovate and share the latest capabilities across the Aerospace, Land, Naval, Security & Joint domains. We delivered fantastic exhibits for 6 clients at this year’s event including; GKN Aerospace, FLIR, Ultra Electronics, Safariland, Revision Military and MOOG!

Our team designed an attention-grabbing exhibit for GKN Aerospace. We worked together to develop a model aircraft which was utilised on the stand and connected to an augmented reality screen. Visitors could see the aircraft fans spin and interact with the model using the screen. There was also a 3D option with interactive hotspots, these brought up more information about GKN and the model aircraft. It was a big hit during the show, an engaging and educating stand attractor.

We delivered perfectly on all of our clients briefs, from creating an open and clean space for Ultra Electronics to displaying numerous products in a clear and engaging way for Safariland. Our team ensured delegates had a memorable experience across all our clients stands using strong and familiar brand messaging alongside creative technologies.

FLIR incorporated interactive product displays and touch screens to showcase their key messages and attract visitors. The star of the show was an Endeavour Robot; these easy to operate ground robots are used for the global military and public safety. They have advanced sensing to provide explosive or hazardous material disposal at stand-off range.

Duncan Williams, Cook and Associates Operations Director, said: “This is our tenth year at DSEI, and the show gets bigger and more interesting each year. The interactive exhibits meant another successful DSEI and we look forward to working with all our clients again soon!”
