Step On Board With Windy Boats

Scandinavian Boating company, Windy are world renowned for their 150 years of luxury and revolutionary boats. When we were approached create a new stand design at Düsseldorf boat show 2020, we had to create a lasting impression that would be just as exclusive as the boats they provided.

5 full sized boats were required to be incorporated into one 170m x 239m stand-it was no simple task. The design had to be neat and to the point, leaving a challenge to execute with the finest precision.

The design orientated around a concept we called “step on board”, a stand environment that reflected the Windy boating experience in a static show floor environment. Our design utilised varying levels to take the delegates on a journey through the stand from the boat viewing deck to the luxury hospitality experience, each area showcasing an  elevated level of luxury.

The entrance to the stand was located next to the main flow of traffic, creating an inviting area for staff to welcome delegates ‘aboard’. Once within the stand, delegates were lead through the history of the Windy brand into the viewing deck to see how their 50 years of experience transformed into the luxury boats built today. Interactive touchscreens were available for delegates to find out more information as well.

Delegates then ended on the centrally located observation deck on the upper level top of the stand for a high end hospitality experience with an on stand bar and lounge area. Creating the perfect viewing platform to gaze over the fleet of boats below with a fresh coffee in your hand.
