DSEI, the world’s leading event for the defence and security industry marked their 20th anniversary of the bi-annual event in September. With a range of valuable opportunities for networking, the DSEI community innovate and share the latest capabilities across the Aerospace, Land, Naval, Security & Joint domains. Working with 6 clients required deep pre-show research and industry analysis to ensure clients got the very best out of the show.

GKN Aerospace joined our client list this year as we worked alongside them at JEC world in March. Technology engagement was the centrepiece for their DSEI stand as we developed an augmented reality screen with connected model aircraft. The AR model showed properties of the aircraft as well as how it moved. There was also a 3D option with interactive hotspots revealing more information about the aircraft and GKN’s company values.  Positioned on the corner of the exhibit as a stand attractor to increase footfall and staff engagement with delegates at the event. Using an angular design allowed us to maximise the use of the space whilst reflecting their branding.

Ultra Electronics, a British based innovative technology and engineering company in the defence and security sector believe in “making a difference” so their stand at DSEI had to make an impact. Utilising the stand space to create an environment that embodied their branding and increased their presence around the event hall. A Dividing wall through the centre of the stand allowed for product presentation and hospitality to work alongside each other without detracting from the overall stand impact. Focusing in on their land, air and sea product ranges with interactive screens and glass display units.

Duncan Williams, Cook and Associates Operations Director, said: “This is our tenth year at DSEI, and the show gets bigger and more interesting each year. The interactive exhibits meant another successful DSEI and we look forward to working with all our clients again soon”

Flir focused on their latest product innovations with their Endeavour Robot being the star of the show at DSEI; the easy to operate ground robots are used for the global military and public safety. They have advanced sensing to provide explosive or hazardous material disposal at stand-off range.
